There are only four chefs in Malaysia with Michelin stars and she is one of them. She runs her restaurant “Auntie Gaik Lean’s Old School Eatery” in Malaysia and visiting here is a beautiful experience. Back in the year 2013, Beh Gaik Lean launched her Peranakan restaurant and ever since then, the Malaysian Chef is serving magic to her guests here. Decked up with authentic and vintage touches of the country, this restaurant gives you a very incredible homely feeling, unlike any renowned restaurant with Michelin starred-chefs.

This Is The Story Of The Malaysian Chef

The journey of Beh Gaik Lean began when she was just 21 years of age. She began her journey working for the Motorola factory. She worked in the factory as a cook and after working for some time, she decided to open her own Peranakan restaurant in the year 2013. Interestingly, Auntie Gaik Lean’s Old School Eatery is one of the only two Peranakan restaurants in the entire world that has won the prestigious Michelin star.
