Palace On Wheels Started Its Journey This Season
On Wednesday, the train embarked on its journey to offer regal experiences to passengers board. The trip began from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station at 4 PM. The flagship luxurious train is running through the most scenic surroundings, ferrying travellers to some of Rajasthan’s most famous cities. According to a report by Hindustan Times, Palace on Wheels is en route to Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Bharatpur in Rajasthan.
The itinerary also includes Uttar Pradesh’s Agra before concluding the trip at Safdarjung Railway Station at around 7:30 AM. 32 passengers are onboard the heritage train for an 8-day/7-night holiday. 12 travellers are from India. Five globetrotters joined from the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Two tourists each arrived from Australia, Singapore, and Spain. Also, three visitors from Poland, Sri Lanka, and Ukraine are on this incredible train trip.
Sushma Arora, Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director; Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, Executive Director; Bhagat Singh Lohagarh, Managing Director of O&M; and Director Pradeep Bohra flagged off Palace on Wheels before this holiday season’s journey started. O&M is the private firm working to operate the train this season.
