2. City Of Joy
A small restaurant nestled in Alaknanda Market of Chittaranjan Park, City of Joy serves authentic Bengali food. Also, once you step inside this eatery, you will be transported back to Kolkata. Yes, we are talking about jute furnishings, old Bengali classics in the backdrop, and posters of Kolkata from the golden years. So, when there, try their Fish Kabiraji, Prawn Malai Curry, Kosha Mangsho, Cholar Dal, Mutton Biriyani, Dab Chingri and Bhapa Hilsa.

3. Kamala Sweets
Bengali food cannot be complete without a massive serving of sweets. However, you don’t need to worry at all because this sweet shop in CR Park is known for their quintessential Bengali delicacies. Sample their Mishti Doi (Sweet Curd) served in mud pots – it’s heavenly. Moreover, we love their, Gur Sandesh, Raj Bhog, Chana Pora, Jolbhora Sandesh and Kancha Golla. Lastly, if you crave for something salty, order a plate of Radha Ballabi with Aloo Sabzi.

4. Raju Phuchka Wala
A trip to Chittaranjan Park is incomplete without a wholesome dose of Phuchkas. And, nobody does it better than the legendary Raju Phuchka Wala. Now, this guy serves mouth-watering wheat Phuchkas stuffed with boiled potatoes and black chana. Also, these little balls of heaven are dunked in spicy Tamarind water. However, if you are not in the mood for phuchkas, do try their Chur Mur, which is basically a tangy and spicy Phuchka Chaat!

5. Maa Tara Restaurant
This restaurant has been serving home-like Bengali food for nearly 20 years now. Their special Bengali Thali is very popular amongst Bengalis in Delhi. It comprises of an assortment of dishes like Lucchi, Kosha Mangsho, Moong Dal, Rice, Dhokar Dalna, Pabda Shorshe and Chutney. Need we say more? Also, they have a variety of fish on their menu like Tangra, Bata, Chitol, Rui and more. Lastly, if you are a vegetarian, try their Shukto, Paneer Dalna, Mochar Ghonto and Posto Bora.
