Horrifying images and videos are going viral on the internet showing the Nepal flash flood. According to NDTV, floodwater came from the Tibetan side of the border and washed away several villages in Nepal. At least eight people have lost their lives, and 384 travellers, including 105 Indians, are reported missing. An X user, @iNikhilsaini, posted a video showing terrifying visuals from Nepal.
Reportedly, at least 26 Nepal Police personnel have also gone missing due to the flash flood. The flood surged through the Bhote Koshi River, and the sudden rise in water caused widespread destruction in Timure in Rasuwa district and the nearby Syafrubesi area. The Bhote Koshi River originates in Tibet and flows into Nepal’s Trishuli River, which enters India as the Gandak River.

Roads And Property Damaged In Floods
According to NDTV, the increased level of water also damaged vehicles, goods and other property. A newly constructed bridge was also destroyed. Authorities are currently assessing the scale of the destruction, which is reported to be significant. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) Nepal has issued a statement asking people near riverbanks in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan and Gorkha to remain alert and take all safety measures.
The Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police personnel are currently mobilised in Rasuwa to oversee rescue and relief activities. A high-level meeting is also being held to discuss the aftermath of the flash flood and bring the situation under control.
