Taj Hotels, renowned as the World’s Strongest Hotel Brand 2024 and India’s Strongest Brand 2024, has partnered with Godawan to present this artisanal single malt. Limited to just 300 bottles, this release is an embodiment of meticulous artistry and mindful luxury. Available exclusively at Taj’s grand palaces in Mumbai, Jaipur, and Hyderabad, the whisky stands as a testament to both brands’ commitment to conscious consumption and sustainable luxury.

The Godawan Single Malt is named after the majestic Great Indian Bustard, a symbol of rarity and grace. This exceptional single malt hails from the arid lands of Rajasthan. It is certainly crafted with a profound dedication to preserving the environment. The whisky also reflects Godawan’s ongoing efforts to conserve the habitat of the critically endangered Great Indian Bustard. It is supported by their initiatives in water stewardship and sustainable practices.

Each bottle of this exclusive edition features the iconic ‘Jaali’ design, mirroring the intricate beauty of Taj’s palaces. The whisky itself is a rich, dark brown spirit, characterised by a gentle and mellow nose with notes of vanilla, cream, and a hint of cinnamon. The palate reveals a smooth, warm richness, culminating in a complex, long finish that balances sweetness with spicy and woody undertones.

Godawan Single Malt stands out not just for its taste but for its production process. The whisky is made from locally sourced six-row barley, distilled in copper pot stills, and aged in Virgin American White Oak casks. This method also imparts a high level of complexity and depth to the whisky. It enhances its unique flavour profile. Each bottle is non-chill-filtered, preserving the rich, complex world of flavours.

The collaboration is rooted in more than just luxury. Every purchase contributes to the conservation of the Great Indian Bustard and its habitat. Godawan’s commitment to sustainable practices includes supporting local agriculture, promoting solar energy, and addressing water scarcity in Rajasthan. This also aligns with Taj’s Paathya framework. It focuses on sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint, supporting India’s vision of Net Zero by 2070.

‘Godawan Single Malt, Exclusive to the Palaces of Taj’ is more than just a whisky. It’s also a narrative of Indian craftsmanship and luxury. Each bottle is a masterpiece, embodying a shared vision of making an impact both on the palate and on the world.
