As per a report by The Times Of India (TOI), Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has released an additional ₹2 crore to complete the work on Bengaluru’s second official food street in Yelahanka. This will open in the next three months. This food street will be on a 500-metre lane near Seshadripuram College in Yelahanka New Town. This is near Doddaballapur Road.

Earlier, this lane used to be a dumping ground. Later, the garbage was cleared by BBMP which made it a space suitable to house street food stalls. According to TOI, initially, BBMP allocated ₹3 crore to develop this street. Later, Yelahanka zonal officials demanded an additional ₹2 crore to complete this street food project. An officer stated to TOI that as of today, they have completed the electrification work and the construction of 22 shops.
