Dubai resumed normal life last week and as part of the its phased relaxations, theaters were also reopened. And now, Bollywood filmmakers are planning a second round of release on the big screen.
As of now, two films will be re-released in Dubai theaters. Good Newwz, starring Akshay Kumar, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, as well as Dream Girl featuring Ayushmann Khurrana will be releasing in UAE again on 11 June. The re-release is announced keeping in mind all the Covid precautions.
Vibha Chopra of Zee Entertainment added that they deliberately chose comedy films as the world has been going through a tough time. So, in case you’ve missed watching these two flicks, here’s another chance.
On that note, Dubai is not the only place to ease restrictions. Here are countries across the globe that are slowly opening up for tourism.

In case you’re looking for fun things to do this weekend and are ready to step out, this one’s for you! With restrictions easing, more cinemas are opening doors to the public in Dubai. After drive-in cinemas, movie halls in Dubai are slowly resuming business. Novo cinemas has reopened for movie buffs with strict social distancing rules in place.
Meanwhile, Dubai Fountain Has Resumed Operations and visitors will have a whole new experience on their next visit.
Branches in Dubai Festival City Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall, Dragon Mart 2 and IMG Worlds of Adventure are now open. However, the cinema halls allow only 30% occupancy, with safe seating arrangement. Regular guidelines across the city like mandatory facemask and gloves, and temperature checks upon entry are applicable. Besides, kids under 12 and adults over 60 years will not be permitted in the theater.Here are some films currently playing at Novo cinemas:
