One of the holiest and most stunning rivers in India, Alaknanda runs beside Badrinath, in Uttarakhand. The river holds great religious significance for the devotees who undertake the Char Dham yatra. Tourists visiting Badrinath, usually take a dip in Alaknanda before visiting the holy shrine of Lord Shiva. Apart from all the sacred links, Alaknanda also stands out for its beauty and serenity. Flawless Image Of Alaknanda River

A magnificent photograph of the blue waters of Alaknanda recently made it to the official Twitter account of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.’ The caption read, ‘Like a river flows…This ‘flawless’ image of the Alaknanda river from the point where it flows into Bhagirathi in Devprayag is giving us major #TravelGoals. The picture shared is a bird’s eye view of the Alaknanda river flowing before it finally converges with the Bhagirathi river in Devprayag, a little town in Uttarakhand.

A couple of weeks back, Anand Mahindra, the CEO of Mahindra Group, too shared a similar photograph of the river, calling it ‘flawless’.

He tweeted a picture of the river with the caption, ‘‘Alaknanda’ means ‘flawless.’ I can see why…’
