72nd National Film Awards In Gujarat
For the first time in 70 years, the National Film Awards were not organised in New Delhi. This year, the awards were hosted at Ekta Nagar (Kevadia) in Gujarat, with the iconic Statue of Unity as a beautiful backdrop. Though the list of winners was announced a few months ago, many celebrities arrived in Gujarat today to receive their awards from President Droupadi Murmu.
At this annual event, many popular names like Yami Gautam, Kartik Aaryan and Mammootty took home the prestigious awards. Kartik Aaryan received the award for his role in Chandu Champion, while Yami Gautam won for Article 370.
