We all know how sweet prices skyrocket during festivals but this one surely steals the price! A sweet shop in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda has launched an exclusive Golden Gujiya, which is priced at a whopping ₹50,000 per kilogram. A piece of this luxurious mithai costs ₹1,300 per piece.

According to the Hindustan Times, the reason behind the jaw-dropping price of this Golden Gujiya is the fact that it has a layer of 24-carat gold. Not just that, it also has a special dry fruit filling which makes it a special and luxurious treat for Holi. The 24-carat gold and silver vark on the gujiya is edible. The shop manager, Shivakant Chaturvedi, revealed that while people are not buying the special gujiya in big numbers, they are ordering 1-2 pieces to know what’s unique about it.
