Lockdown restrictions are gradually getting eased in the country. This also includes the removal of prohibitions on interstate travel. However, you will still need an e-pass to travel to certain states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya and West Bengal. On June 4, the Centre had conducted a meeting on the order of the Supreme Court for easing movements across the borders of NCR. In the meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had stated that Delhi-NCR will be treated as a whole in the battle against coronavirus. If other words, cities like Noida, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad won’t be treated separately from Delhi. But cops at the Delhi-Noida border are still checking e-passes to allow cross-border travel between Delhi and Noida.
E-Pass Required To Travel To Noida From Delhi
Due to the rapid surge in the coronavirus cases in the Capital, the government of Uttar Pradesh had decided to seal the Delhi-Noida and Delhi-Ghaziabad border in April. With the count crossing 66,000, the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi has the second-highest number of cases in India now. The Noida authorities have now deployed police forces at the borders to allow entry only with e-passes. The Delhi-Noida border witnessed a massive traffic jam recently, as the police were checking the e-passes. Presently, Noida has around 18,893 confirmed coronavirus cases with 588 deaths. The death toll in Delhi NCT is nearly 2301.

How To Get An E-Pass To Enter Noida Or Ghaziabad?
To apply for an e-pass to commute to Noida or Ghaziabad from Delhi, one should take the following steps:
- Visit the e-pass portal of the Government of Uttar Pradesh
- Enter mobile number, captcha code, One Time Password and click on Submit
- Provide necessary details such as name, age, gender, address, etc. in the online application form
- Upload ID proof, photo, vehicle type, vehicle number and medical document
Once the above details are approved, the applicant will receive the e-pass through SMS and e-mail. One can also track the e-pass by clicking on the ‘track your application’ link in the e-pass portal. Also, this is how you can get e-passes to travel across India during the lockdown.
