Are you planning a road trip from Delhi-Agra? Then, your trip expenses might become a bit expensive due to the toll fee changes. The Yamuna Expressway between Greater Noida and Agra now has a higher toll fee. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, which takes care of the expressway, announced Wednesday. The fee at the toll gate will have new numbers according to the vehicle type. Here’s all you have to know about the surge in toll fees on the Delhi-Agra road.

Toll Prices On Delhi-Agra Expressway Surge

Take a look at all the toll charges you need to know for travelling on the Yamuna Expressway –

Car, Jeep, Van & Light motor vehicles – ₹2.65 km
Light good vehicles – ₹4.15 km
Buses/Trucks – ₹8.45 km
Large Vehicles – ₹18.80

The last increase in toll charges happened in the year 2021. The toll has also launched the fast tag system for collecting the toll charges from vehicles.

How Does Yamuna Expressway Benefit The Delhiites?

The Yamuna Expressway affects the travel timings of commuters specifically from Delhi to Agra. It also eases the traffic congestion that used to take place on the National Highway No 2. It comes under the management of the Uttar Pradesh government and was accessible to the public from 2012 onwards. The total project cost is approximately ₹13000 crore and the concession period is of 36 years. The expressway does make it easier for the travellers from Delhi-Agra, with Agra welcoming a large number of tourists for the Taj Mahal. Apart from this, the Yamuna Expressway also has an influence on the other neighbouring states like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
