Hidden Marina: The First Phase Of The LINE Project To Feature A Length Of 2.5 Km And Height Of 500 M

While there are many developments happening in Saudi Arabia, NEOM is certainly one of the major mega-development projects taking place in the kingdom. And now, it was recently revealed in a report by the Saudi Gazette that it is all set to unveil the first phase of THE LINE. This is a Hidden Marina at the forefront and the announcement was made at the PIF Private sector forum, which happened in Riyadh.

NEOM Unveils The First Phase Of THE LINE

As revealed in a report by Saudi Gazette, NEOM is all set to unveil its first phase of THE LINE project. It is a bold step towards redefining urban living, and will introduce a fully integrated vertical city that has been built in modular 800 m sections! The first segment of THE LINE is expected to stretch 2.5 km in length and will rise 500 m high. The Hidden Marina is a development that will comprise interconnected modules and is expected to accommodate more than 200,000 residents.

Not to mention, the built-up area will surpass 21 million m². With the scale of Hidden Marina being unprecedented, it will dwarf global benchmarks, such as Burj Khalifa. As it happens, this development will feature more than 80,000 residential units, 9000 hotel rooms, commercial and retail spaces, schools, police and security services, fire stations, and other necessary infrastructures to support a self-sustaining city. So, as more than 1,40,000 workers are still engaged in the project construction, about 5000 of them are dedicated to NEOM itself. In fact, the workforce represents more than a hundred countries and includes 40% local Saudi talent.

At this point, it’s worth mentioning that NEOM is not just a city, but is an urban revolution. It has been designed to push boundaries, establish new standards for future development and of course, even refined economies.
