In the wee hours, several regions of Maharashtra saw this sudden shower before they welcomed Holi 2023. Some parts of Mumbai welcomed fresh downpours and thunderstorms late Sunday night. But as Mumbaikars are known for their spirits, they welcomed the first rainfall of 2023 with crazy and funny memes.

People were all set with their plans for Holi 2023 when the unexpected showers greeted them. Holi this year will be celebrated on March 7 in some places and on March 8 in others. Due to two successive extra-tropical weather systems over some regions of India, the country might expect such showers between March 4 and March 8. Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh will witness light to moderate thunderstorms between these dates.
