Following the ‘Honesty is the best policy’, Kala Ghoda’s newest restaurant HYDE has an Honesty Bar where patrons can prepare drinks at an unattended bar and pay as per their preference.
What Is It?
Honesty Bar is an unique concept which goes back in time since the colonial era. Dutch & British colonies flaunted many honesty bars. It is most popular in South Africa and hence the owners Gaurish Rangnekar and Alok Nanda came up with this, moral and spiritual concept. Honesty Bar at HYDE is an unattended beverage bar, typically in the lobby or lounge of a hotel where payment is left to the guest. No staff attends the bar and therefore it is left to the honesty of the guest to report his or her own consumption.
At HYDE, the Honesty Bar will have a fine selection of boutique spirits which will change, rotate on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Hence HYDE is giving you an opportunity to make your own drink and feel at home. Last but not the least, pay what you like as the indicative prices for the drinks will be mentioned and don’t forget honesty is always the best policy!
About HYDE
HYDE’s menu will mainly concentrate on small plates and a food that can be paired with the drinks. The food will be curated by a team of experts who are putting equal efforts to serve the best of vegetarian dishes and pair it with the Bespoke Cocktails and a Wine selection. The cuisine is eclectic, being a mix of European, Asian and Indian Delights. The food menu is quirky and will offer a large selection of appetizers with selected and limited mains. A few signature dishes to try are Mushrooms on Sago Chips, Chettinad Cottage Cheese, Soya Boti Kebab, Blue Cheese Kulcha, Crispy Kale and more.
