Actor Jyotika has recently shown off her stunning makeover, losing 9 kg in just three months. Posting an emotional note on Instagram, she credited Vidya Balan for getting her to meet Amura Health’s team of trainers and nutritionists who helped her achieve this makeover. Like most others, she found it difficult to shed pounds even after attempting several diets and exercises. But by adopting long-term changes in her diet and training, Jyotika was also able to accomplish her pursuit.

Describing her experience, Jyotika credited gratitude to Chennai-based nutrition company Amura Health for guiding her to a healthy lifestyle. She accepted that extreme dieting, hard exercise, and intermittent fasting didn’t help her to lose weight. She then turned towards understanding her body and how the condition of the gut, digestion, and inflammatory foods affect one’s overall well-being.

Jyotika discussed how these tips not only enabled her to lose weight but also increased her energy levels and brightened her mood. She repeated that losing weight is not merely about diet and exercise but also about having the right state of mind.

While diet played a central role in her transformation, Jyotika emphasised the importance of strength training. She also thanked her trainer, Mahesh, for making her realise how crucial it is for women to become strong.

In her view, preserving muscle strength is a key factor in long-term wellness and self-reliance. She mentioned that the importance of balance is the essence of a fit life. Going only for weight loss may be detrimental, but when it is coupled with good exercise and care for oneself, then the results come naturally.

Jyotika emphasises that self-love, stress control, and general well-being should also be prioritised besides physical fitness.

Vidya Balan’s Influence On Her Journey

Jyotika’s weight loss journey was prompted by Vidya Balan, who had also undergone a remarkable transformation due to dietary changes.

In October 2024, Vidya admitted that she had lost weight without doing a lot of exercise. Vidya described her body image problems and how she overcame societal pressures. Both of them advocate a general attitude towards health, encouraging individuals to strive for inner health and not unrealistic beauty standards.

Jyotika’s makeover is proof that with a proper combination of diet, exercise, and self-care, long-term results are achievable.
