Do you have travel plans this week? Then, you got to be a little cautious as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rainfall for certain regions. These regions which include the north eastern states, the northern states, and also a few southern states will have a spell of heavy rainfall. States like Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have predictions of heavy rainfall, and for the travellers planning a vacation in areas there, you might have to consider your options and plan accordingly.

According to the IMD, Central Maharashtra will be receiving very heavy rainfall along with thunder and lightening. Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya To Have Inclement Weather

There are predictions by the IMD that Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Kerala, Mahe, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur are expected to be receiving heavy rains through the week especially till August 24. A few coastal areas of Karnataka too, shall receive rains, according to the IMD. However, if you already have plans of travel, there are many ways to travel smart despite the rains too.
