Are you planning to visit Hong Kong soon? In that case, this news is relevant to you! The Consulate General of India or CGI in Hong Kong has recently issued an advisory. As per the advisory, Indian nationals visiting the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region or HKSAR must apply for the Pre-Arrival Registration or PAR. This is for people staying in the region for a period not exceeding 14 days. Here are all the other important details that you need to know about this advisory.

The CGI in HKSAR recently shared an advisory on X (formerly known as Twitter) for Indian nationals planning to visit. It said that Indian nationals are required to apply for a PAR. The PAR is valid for six months and can be used for multiple entries.
It is important to note that the details in the PAR must match the visitor’s passport exactly. Furthermore, it is imperative that the passenger carries a physical copy of the successful PAR on an A4-sized white sheet of paper.
You can apply for the PAR from the official website of the immigration department of Hong Kong. It is also important to note that merely a successful PAR is not sufficient to qualify for entry into the region. Other important documents need to be carried as well.

Other Important Documents That You Need To Carry With You
In addition to a printout of a successful PAR, passengers also need to have a passport that is valid for more than six months from the date of entry into the region.
Visitors must also have a confirmed return ticket and confirmed hotel booking. Additionally, they also require proof of sufficient financial provisions and proof of the bonafide purpose of the visit.
