There’s morning coffee, and then there’s “I casually drink five cups a day” coffee. On the latest episode of Sunday with our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade dropped by for a chat that went everywhere, from food habits to personal stories. And somewhere in between, Kajal casually revealed a fact about herself that had everyone, including Kamiya, doing a double take.
Kajal Aggarwal’s Daily Coffee Habit Surprised Everyone
It all started with a simple question.
“How many cups of coffee do you drink in a day?”
Kajal Aggarwal didn’t even have to think about it.
“Two cups in the morning.”
Honestly, that’s a respectable number! For a lot of people, the first cup is what wakes them up, and the second is what makes them capable of replying to emails. But she wasn’t done. She added that she drinks three more cups during the rest of the day.
Kamiya Jani, immediately reacted, pointing out that it was “a lot of coffee.”
Then again, actors don’t exactly have a nine-to-five routine. One day, they’re reporting to set before sunrise, and the next, they’re filming till two in the morning under giant studio lights while pretending it’s broad daylight. Constant travel, long shooting schedules, back-to-back promotions and unpredictable work hours don’t leave much room for a perfectly balanced sleep schedule. Then the conversation took an unexpectedly funny turn.

The One-Line Marriage Joke That Had Everyone Laughing
Kamiya Jani asked Kajal if she’d always been this big on coffee.
“No,” Kajal revealed. In fact, she said she was never a coffee person.
So… what happened? Without missing a beat, Kajal smiled and said, “I got married.”
That’s it. She gave no dramatic explanation and no long backstory. Just one sentence that landed perfectly and had everyone laughing. She didn’t go into the details of how marriage transformed her relationship with caffeine, but frankly, she didn’t need to. The room got the joke instantly.
Out of everything shared during the conversation, this tiny confession might have been the most relatable. Sometimes marriage changes your surname, and sometimes it changes your sleeping schedule. And apparently, sometimes it turns someone who never cared about coffee into the kind of person who happily clocks five cups a day.
