Ujjwal Nikam knows a thing or two about arguments. After all, he has spent decades making them in court. But during Sunday Brunch with Kamiya Jani, we got a little peek into what happens when the courtroom veteran takes that habit home. The episode brought together Ujjwal Nikam, his wife Jyoti Nikam, and actor Rajkummar Rao, who will portray the celebrated prosecutor in the upcoming film Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam. And somewhere between conversations about his life and Rajkummar getting into character, the topic inevitably turned to arguments at home.
Ujjwal Nikam’s Wife Reveals Who Is More Dominant During Arguments
Kamiya Jani asked Ujjwal’s wife the question couples everywhere would probably have very different answers to: who wins when the two of them argue?
Her answer was diplomatic enough. Sometimes one wins, sometimes the other does. But, she admitted, Ujjwal Nikam is the more dominant one.
Ujjwal did not exactly deny it. Instead, he had a very lawyer-like explanation: “Court mein aadat pad gayi hai unko.”
Fair.
If your entire professional life has involved standing up in court and arguing your case, apparently there is no neat little switch that lets you stop doing it the moment you walk through your front door.

Kamiya Says ‘Objection Overruled’ And Takes His Wife’s Side
Kamiya Jani, however, was not going to let him get away that easily. She immediately came up with what might be the most appropriate response for his wife: “Objection overruled.”
Somewhere, Ujjwal Nikam probably realised that bringing courtroom habits home had finally created a problem of its own.
And then Kamiya Jani revealed whose side she was taking that day. Spoiler; it was not Ujjwal’s.
His wife had prepared the food, and Kamiya Jani is not about to betray the person responsible for putting a good meal in front of her. So, for this particular argument, she was firmly on the wife’s side.
Honestly, Ujjwal Nikam may have the courtroom experience, the arguments and decades of practice. But when someone has cooked for you, there are certain battles you simply should not pick.
Especially when the person sitting across the table is Kamiya Jani and she already has “objection overruled” ready to go.
