Govinda’s Daughter Tina Used To Find This Co-Star Of His Dad The “Cutest”

Sometimes, all it takes is one iconic dialogue to unlock a flood of Bollywood memories. That’s exactly what happened when Tina Ahuja dropped by Tere Gully Mein with Curly Tales. 

Tina Ahuja Instantly Recognises A Govinda Classic

As part of a fun challenge, Tina had to guess some of Govinda’s most memorable dialogues from his films. While a few took a moment, the second a dialogue from Deewana Mastana played, there wasn’t even a break. She recognised it almost instantly, laughing as she admitted that it’s one of her all-time favourite Govinda films.

And guess what? It started as a game, but soon turned into a lovely walk down memory lane.

Speaking about Deewana Mastana, Tina couldn’t help but gush over its leading ladies. The first person she brought up was Raveena Tandon, who made a special appearance in the film. You could tell Tina has watched the movie more times than she can count because she remembers the tiniest details.

The Raveena Tandon Comparison That Made Everyone Smile

According to her, Raveena looked “so cute” in the film, reminding her of a “Spice Girl”. It wasn’t just the outfit; it was those adorable hairstyles that completed the look and made the comparison feel oddly perfect.

Then came Karisma Kapoor! Tina smiled as she remembered Karisma’s playful styling from that era, saying she looked just like Britney Spears with those cute twin ponytails. It’s the sort of comparison only someone who grew up watching both Bollywood and international pop culture would make, and it instantly paints a picture of late-’90s fashion. And of course, there was Shilpa Shetty.

Tina was all praise for the actor, saying she still looks absolutely stunning even today. Looking back at the women who shared screen space with her father over the years, she affectionately called all of Govinda’s heroines “such dolls”, a simple comment that held a lot of warmth and love. 

For anyone who grew up on Govinda’s comedies, the moment felt like listening to someone fondly revisit the films they genuinely love. One dialogue from Deewana Mastana was enough to spark memories of colourful costumes, unforgettable hairstyles and the actresses who made that era of Bollywood so memorable.
