Every family has that one ongoing debate about who the favourite child is. In the Qureshi household, the verdict appears to be settled, at least according to Saqib Saleem. What started as light sibling banter between Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem on Sunday Brunch with Kamiya Jani quickly turned into a hilarious audit of their childhood. The two spent the conversation doing what siblings do best: exposing each other’s stories while refusing to let old grievances die.

Saqib Saleem Says Huma Qureshi Was The Favourite Child

At one point, Kamiya Jani assumed that Saqib, being the younger sibling, must have enjoyed all the privileges that come with the title. You know the stereotype, the baby of the family who gets away with everything. Saqib’s response came hilariously. “Kaash.”

He revealed that if there was one truly pampered child in the house, it was Huma. Being the only daughter apparently had its advantages. According to Saqib Saleem, life worked differently depending on which sibling was making the request. If Huma needed a driver, a driver would magically appear. If she wanted a car, arrangements would somehow be made. Meanwhile, Saqib’s childhood was unfolding in a very different genre.

He recalled spending hours travelling for sports practice. Long commutes were normal, and two-hour bus rides were normal. Returning home after training was its own adventure. Sometimes he would end up riding a pillion on someone’s bike just to get back.

Then came the story that had everyone laughing!

Huma Qureshi Jokes About Saqib’s ‘Childhood Trauma’

Saqib Saleem spoke about studying at Don Bosco School, where many students came from extremely wealthy families. Parent pick-ups often looked like a luxury car exhibition. BMWs rolled in and Mercedes swept inside.

And then there was Saqib.

His family ran Saleem’s, and he would often reach school on the restaurant’s delivery scooter. He remembered squeezing himself into the tiny space between the delivery rider and the large delivery box attached to the scooter. While his classmates stepped out of luxury sedans, he arrived as part of a food delivery operation.

The image alone was enough to send the room into fits of laughter. Without missing a beat, Huma Qureshi looked at her brother and deadpanned, “That’s your childhood trauma.”
