Harsh Goenka Reacts To Special Rules For Indian Guests At A Swiss Hotel

Harsh Goenka does not ever shy away from expressing his honest thoughts and opinions regarding several things on social media. Recently, he took to his official X account to share his views on special rules exclusively for Indian guests at a Swiss hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland.

According to the post, Hotel Arc-en-Ciel in Gstaad asked Indian guests not to take food items from the breakfast buffet with them, to use the cutlery provided, and to keep their noise down in balconies and corridors. The hotel also stated that the breakfast buffet is for breakfast only. However, Indian guests can get lunch bags at an extra cost.

Civic Sense Among Indian Tourists Needs “Upgrade”

Harsh Goenka was clearly appalled by these rules displayed at a Swiss hotel in Gstaad. He talked about how videos of garba in restaurants, loud conversations in airports, and turning aircraft cabins into picnic spots keep doing the rounds. Not just that, but Harsh Goenka also shared that recently in Davos, an Indian businessman blasted Punjabi music in a club. The music was so loud that the whole town could hear it, which was undoubtedly annoying.

The billionaire highlighted the civic sense in Japan and wrote, “If India wants to be a true global superpower, the world should remember Indians for its excellence, consideration and respect for others. Our civic sense seriously needs to be upgraded.”  And honestly, it is harsh, but true.

Netizens also agreed with Harsh Goenka. One user wrote, “Thanks for raising this huge problem.” Another commented, “Just like charity begins at home, practicing civic sense should also start here.”
