After a defeat in the IPL 2026 final, the Gujarat Titans team faced another tough situation later that night. As per NDTV, while travelling back to their hotel from the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the team bus suffered an electrical fault that led to a short circuit and smoke. To everyone’s relief, the players and support staff quickly evacuated the bus. No injuries were reported.
Although everyone was safe, the incident left the players and team staff stranded for nearly an hour. Cricketer Mohammed Siraj even posted a story showing them sitting on the side of the road while waiting for alternative transport arrangements. The unexpected disruption added to an already difficult and disappointing day for the franchise.

Why Did The Team Reach Ahmedabad Late?
It has been a few tough days for the Gujarat Titans players and staff members. As per The Times of India, while travelling to Ahmedabad on Saturday, bad weather across North India delayed the team’s chartered flight by nearly three hours. As a result, they arrived late in Ahmedabad. The delay also pushed back the photoshoot featuring Shubman Gill and Rajat Patidar.
Talking about the final match in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans batted first and scored 155/8 in 20 overs. RCB emerged as strong competition and successfully chased down the target to win the IPL 2026 trophy. What made the match even more exciting was that both teams were aiming to win their second IPL title.
