Here’s all you need to know!

Japanese FM Toshimitsu Motegi Enjoys Indian Food

Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi recently took to his social media handle to share his experience of trying two iconic Indian foods. He was comfortably seated at a dining table, and in front of him was a hot cup of South India’s favourite filter coffee. He took a sip of the coffee, and from his reaction, it was clear that he truly enjoyed it.

He then moved on to one of India’s most loved desserts, Gulab Jamun. The foreign minister had a bowl with two Gulab Jamun topped with nuts. As soon as he took the first bite, his face lit up with a big smile. He then described the dessert as “very sweet.”

Continuing the video and giving international audiences a better understanding, the foreign minister compared Gulab Jamun to a donut, reported Firstpost. His choice of enjoying filter coffee with Gulab Jamun is not something we usually see. It was a unique combination, but the foreign minister clearly enjoyed these two iconic Indian favourites.

Just a day before the food video surfaced online, Toshimitsu Motegi had shared another video while standing in Delhi’s extreme summer heat. Reacting to the weather, he said, “It’s 40°C… very, very hot,” as he addressed his plans for the Quad summit.

Just like the Japanese foreign minister, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his wife also experienced India by visiting places like Taj Mahal, Amer Fort, and Mother House.
