Swastik Lotus Garden In Lucknow

The newly-opened Swastik Lotus Garden, National Botanical Research Institute in Lucknow, will leave you awestruck with its beauty. The highlight of this garden is that it has more than 60 lotus varieties from across the world, including the special ‘Namoh 108’. Namoh 108 is scientifically known as Nelumbo nucifera and is developed by the CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), according to Newsonair.
The garden is spread across 930 sqm of area and features 50 species of water lilies from around the world as well. Uttar Pradesh aims to make this garden a new tourism destination with opportunities in floriculture, wellness, and agri-based industries.
The authorities released a statement mentioning that Lotus Garden will not only create new opportunities for farmers, start-ups, and entrepreneurs but could also become an innovation-driven tourism destination. Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to officially introduce this new garden in Lucknow. In the post he wrote, “Inaugurated the first-of-its-kind ‘Swastik’ #LotusGarden — in the premises of one of India’s oldest and one of the most historic Botanical Gardens, located in the versatile city of #Lucknow.”

Other Parks Upgraded In Lucknow
Apart from this new Swastik Lotus Garden addition, the state government has also taken the initiative to upgrade other parks in the state. Parks in the Lucknow East Assembly area have been upgraded with new features like decorative lights, open gyms, boundary walls, and pathways to make them safer and more enjoyable for residents, reported Times Of India.
At Aliganj Hanuman Mandir, new lights and an open gym were added. In Indiranagar Sector-D Bharat Park, a new boundary wall, walking track, and open gym were set up, while Vaishali Enclave Park-1 in Indiranagar Sector 9 received new lights, an open gym, and flooring improvements. These changes are being made to make the parks more attractive and also give children, youth, and senior citizens better places to stay active.
