Delhi To Chitrakoot In 6 Hours With The New Link Expressway
According to reports by NDTV, Delhi and Chitrakoot are around 655 km apart, with travellers currently using the Yamuna Expressway and Bundelkhand Expressway to reach the religious town. The new 15.17-km link road is expected to provide a faster and smoother connection to Chitrakoot Dham. The project will cost around ₹1,008.67 crore and was originally planned as a four-lane road. The Uttar Pradesh government has now approved a six-lane configuration to improve connectivity and accommodate growing traffic.
The Chitrakoot Link Expressway will stretch 15.172 km and will be around 110 metres wide. It will be developed as a greenfield, access-controlled road under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model. It will connect Chitrakoot Dham with the existing Bundelkhand Expressway and provide improved connectivity towards Bharatkoop. It will feature one major bridge, four minor bridges, one flyover, 17 underpasses and 23 culverts. A toll plaza and toll collection booths will also be constructed along the route.

The Expressway To Boost Connectivity
The road is expected to improve connectivity for heavy vehicles travelling towards Satna, Rewa and Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government will bear the entire project cost. The estimated cost has increased from around ₹940 crore to ₹1,008.67 crore following the decision to expand the road from four lanes to six lanes.

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, approved 23 proposals during its meeting. Among the key decisions was the approval of the Uttar Pradesh Toy Manufacturing Promotion Policy-2025, aimed at boosting toy manufacturing, attracting investment and creating employment opportunities in the state. The Cabinet also approved a proposal for the completion of an already sanctioned high-tech township.
