Parasailing Rope Tightens Around Woman’s Neck In Goa; Says, “Some Experiences Turn Into Trauma”

In a recent turn of events, a woman has shared a terrifying parasailing experience from Goa after an adventure activity that nearly turned dangerous in the middle of the sea. Read on to know what happened next!

Goa Horrifying Parasailing Incident

As per a report by News18, the woman said what began as a fun ride quickly became a terrifying moment that left her shaken. The event was shared on Instagram by Sushmitha Gowrav, who posted a video and explained how the parasailing rope tightened around her neck after she fell into the water. Sharing the incident, she wrote, “1 minute of thrill… almost cost me everything.”

The viral video highlights parasailing activity before things went wrong. She explained the incident and said the situation changed within seconds, leaving her panicked and struggling in the sea. Explaining what happened, Gowrav wrote, “What started as a fun parasailing experience in Goa ended with me struggling in the middle of the sea. I fell into the water, the rope tightened around my neck, and suddenly there was panic, silence, and fear. No camera can capture that feeling when you realise you are no longer in control.”

She said she was initially rescued and called herself lucky for surviving the incident. She added, “I was lucky, someone came and saved me, but not everyone gets that second chance.” She also shared the post to warn others about taking safety seriously before trying adventure water sports.

She further wrote, “Before you try any water sport, ask questions, check safety measures, and trust your instincts, because some experiences do not just remain memories; they turn into trauma.”

How Did Social Media React To It?

As soon as she shared the video on her social media, it later drew many reactions online, with many users expressing concern over safety standards. One user wrote, “No adventure sport is safe in India. Most of them run without any govt licence and guarantee the safety of tourists. It’s better to enjoy nature without these activities.”

Another user wrote, “There are no proper safety checks or maintenance in adventure sports in India, yet they charge full price and don’t care about people’s lives.”

Some users also responded to the behaviour of people seen around the incident. A user wrote, “Someone is battling for their life, and people are laughing, that’s what makes me mad more about humans.”
