According to The New Indian Express, this move aims to ease congestion in Kodaikanal during the upcoming festive season, when many people are expected to visit during the holidays.

How To Book Online Tickets?
According to The New Indian Express, getting online tickets is super easy. Tourists can pay the entry fees in advance through the official website, www.kodaikanalwildlifesanctuary, after which they will receive a digital receipt to gain access to eco-tourism spots in Kodaikanal. Reportedly, tourist spots like Pillar Rocks, Guna Caves, Pine Forest and Moir Point often witness heavy congestion on nearby roads due to delays in ticketing. The new online system may help tackle this problem.
Previously, entry fees were collected separately at each tourist spot, and a QR code system was later introduced for tickets. However, unreliable network connectivity in the hilly area also resulted in long queues and delays for commuters. The QR codes also failed to ease congestion.
