PM Modi Inaugurates The Ganga Expressway
As per a report by News18, a large public event was held in the Hapur district, where around 5,000 people, along with ministers, MPs, MLAs and senior administrative officials, attended the inauguration ceremony. With the inauguration, transport movement on the expressway will officially begin, significantly reducing travel time across the state. With the new expressway, travellers from Delhi NCR and parts of Haryana will particularly benefit, with the route making same-day travel to Prayagraj far more feasible. Devotees travelling to Prayagraj are expected to be able to leave in the morning, take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam and return home by evening.
Key Features & Benefits Of The Expressway
As per reports, to strengthen access for travellers from neighbouring urban centres and adjoining states, two interchanges have been built on the Ganga Expressway in Hapur district. These interchanges are expected to serve as important entry points, making the expressway more accessible to people of Delhi-NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, it is also believed that this improved connectivity will provide major relief during peak pilgrimage time when thousands travel to Prayagraj.
Apart from the transport benefits, the highway is also being projected as a catalyst for regional development. With the inauguration, development work in the surrounding areas is expected to accelerate. Three industrial zones have already been identified in the Hapur district, with authorities anticipating new investment and employment opportunities as the connectivity improves. The expressway is likely to have a positive impact beyond mobility and will support industrial growth and economic activity.
