Many videos are going viral online, revealing that a part of a metro slab had fallen near a school vehicle in Mira Road. However, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) later clarified that no granite stones hit any school vehicle. Also, thankfully, there were no students inside the vehicle at the time.
As per News18, MMRDA said the terrifying incident took place around 11:50 AM while workers were clearing debris and moving materials at Medetiya Nagar Station. A crane carrying a material basket accidentally hit some granite stones stacked near the Foot Over Bridge (FOB) area. As a result, some granite stones fell into the barricaded work area. Though it didn’t hurt anyone, a passing vehicle’s tyre got punctured.
