X user Sidharth Shukla  (@sidhshuk) shared a video that shocked everyone, especially nature lovers. The viral clip shows the present condition of the beautiful Kempty Falls. Located around 13 to 15 kilometres from Mussoorie in Tehri Garhwal, the popular waterfall is known for its strong flow of water that drops nearly 40 feet into ponds below. For years, it has remained one of the most visited tourist attractions in Uttarakhand.

However, the viral video now shows the waterfall surrounded by shops, dhabas and half-finished concrete buildings on almost every side. In the clip, a few tourists can also be seen, while much of the natural landscape appears covered by buildings. In the comment section, X user wrote, “I won’t visit again.”

Netizens Left Disappointed After Watching The Video

The video showing the current condition of Kempty Falls has gone viral across the internet. Netizens were left shocked and disappointed after watching it.

One user wrote, “Totally disgusting what we have done to this natural beauty. Why does the government allow these buildings right next to the falls? Why not leave some space? Who approved such horrid construction?”

Another user added, “True, disgusting. It would have been better if no construction was allowed there.”

One netizen commented, “This could have been turned into a Bali-like tourist spot with lots of trees and aesthetic small places instead of big buildings near it.”
