In a viral X video shared by Simpy Shashi (@ShashiSimply), viewers were left speechless, witnessing the determination of an elderly woman in Kozhikode, Kerala. The video shows a man riding his two-wheeler and decides to use the footpath as a shortcut to avoid heavy traffic on the road. But what happened next was completely unexpected, leaving netizens amazed by the woman’s courage.

In front of him, the elderly woman stood strong, insisting that he drive back on the road and not misuse the footpath. Even after repeated requests, the man refused, forcing her to take out her phone and record the moment. Seeing her recording, the man finally returned to the road, and netizens are praising her civic sense and unwavering determination.

One user wrote, “Whenever I am on my colony road, my wife and I do the same. We’re also apprehensive that someone might thrash us one day. Autos and bikes are very aggressive, coming from the wrong side, and bikes on footpaths.” It’s appreciable that many people are now understanding their responsibilities.
