Indian Railways has rolled out three special trains from Jammu and Udhampur to Delhi. Keeping the current situation in mind, this initiative has been taken to ensure seamless and secure travel for all stranded passengers while accommodating the rising demand for transportation in the region. Indian Railways Announces Special Trains From Jammu & Udhampur
According to the Times of India, multiple special trains by Indian Railways, including Vande Bharat, will operate from Jammu to Delhi. These trains will ferry the stranded passengers and cover several important northern districts and Delhi. Here are all the details about the three trains –
1. Train number 04612 is scheduled to depart from Jammu at 10:45 AM. It will have 12 unreserved coaches and 12 reserved coaches for general and reserved category passengers.
2. A 20-coach Vande Bharat train is also planned to arrive in Delhi. It will depart from Udhampur at 12:45 PM. It will stop at Jammu Tawi Railway Station, Pathankot Cantt Railway Station, Jalandhar Cantt Railway Station, Ludhiana Railway Station, and Ambala Cantt Railway Station.
3. Another fully reserved 22-coach special train will depart from Jammu at 7 PM on Friday evening.

IPL 2025 Suspended Amid Rising Tensions
Amid escalating tensions between the two nations, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to indefinitely suspend the Indian Premier League (IPL) season. This comes a day after the match between the Punjab Kings and the Delhi Capitals was abandoned midway in Dharamshala. An air raid alert was issued in Pathankot and Jammu on May 8, which subsequently led to the suspension of the match. The team members, staff, and officials were brought to Delhi via special trains from Himachal Pradesh.
