In a country where ’15 minutes late’ is on-time, the soon to be launched bullet train is going to come as a breath of fresh air. Setting the standards for punctuality, the bullet train officials will be issuing an official apology in case it’s late even by a couple of minutes. Supporting this statement, the bullet train is going to be ‘extremely well-mannered’.
The Mumbai to Ahmedabad bullet train which is set to launch by 2023 will be making 70 trips in a day with an average speed of 320 km per hour. Basically, it will complete 508 km stretch between Mumbai and Ahmedabad in less than 2 hours!
More About The Bullet Train
The basic aim of the bullet train is to make travel easier and faster than a regular train and more affordable than a flight ticket. Although, business class tickets will be priced higher, there will be only one business class coach for 9 economy coaches (10 total coaches). The average ticket fare will be slightly higher than the AC first class train fare, but definitely lower than a flight ticket.
