An IndiGo flight had to make an emergency landing at Patna’s Jayprakash Narayan International Airport on Friday morning. IndiGo flight 6E 2433 was a Delhi-bound flight taking off from Patna airport in Bihar. Right after embarking on its journey, the flight had to return and make the emergency landing shortly after departing from its origin. What happened that led to this decision? This IndiGo Flight Encountered Engine Issues

The Delhi-bound IndiGo flight returned to its origin airport as it faced some issues with one of its engines. Several reports state that an engine was found to be inoperative. An airport official was quoted saying, “The pilot reported one engine inoperative”, according to a report by Hindustan Times. The flight experienced this issue within 3 minutes of taking off from Patna Airport. It was 9:11 AM when the flight made the emergency landing safely.

The official further added that the pilot did not require any further assistance. The flight operations continued as usual at the airport. There were 181 passengers and 8 cabin crew members onboard this aircraft. Gladly, it was a smooth landing and everyone reported to be safe.

Unfortunately, This Is Not The First Similar Incident That The Airline Came Across Recently

Before the emergency landing incident at Patna Airport on Friday morning, we heard about a similar unfortunate situation some days before. The previous incident was about an IndiGo flight on its way to Dehradun making an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. The reason for this decision was a technical complication. Officials shared how the flight faced a technical issue and hence the decision of an emergency landing at the Delhi IGI Airport was taken. The good news is that all 108 passengers and everyone on board were safe following this incident. The officials of the airline dismissed the news of engine issues responsible for the emergency landing in the Delhi Airpot.
