People prefer flights to save time and enjoy the comfort it offers. However, that’s not exactly how it went for an IndiGo passenger on a Bhopal-bound flight. In a now-viral post, a woman shared her experience of being assigned seats without a cushion on an IndiGo flight recently. In the caption, she hoped to land safely. The sarcastic post got a response from the airline who tried their best to explain the situation. Read on to know more.

Yavanika Raj Shah recently booked a flight from Bengaluru to Bhopal with IndiGo. What she didn’t expect was to find seats without cushions on the flight. She took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the incident and even tagged the airline. The post had a picture of the cushion-less seat and a simple yet sarcastic caption. It read, “Beautiful @IndiGo6E — I do hope I land safely! :) This is your flight from Bengaluru to Bhopal 6E 6465.”

After seeing the tweet, IndiGo responded and said that the seats were replaced for cleaning. In their response, the airline explained that removing seats to clean is a “standard practice during transit as and when required.”

Such practice, according to IndiGo, reflects the airline’s high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
