What Is The New Summer Travel Trend Among Indian Travellers?
Indian travellers are now enjoying premium experiences, as luxury hotel stay bookings have jumped by 108% and overall hotel bookings have increased by over 80%. As for mode of transport, air bookings are up by more than 20%, and bus bookings have grown by over 35%.
Not just solo or with friends, people are also travelling with family. Family travel has increased by 68.6%, and hotel bookings for families have risen sharply by 124.9%. Solo women travellers within India have increased by 31.9%. On the other hand, international solo male travel has grown by 35.8%. Group travel is also rising by 24%.

Where Are People Travelling To?
Travellers’ interest in taking a trip within the country is definitely not slowing down. They are showing interest in popular destinations like Jaipur, Lucknow, Udaipur, Rishikesh, and Varanasi. Also, the Northeast is gaining attention, with places like Dibrugarh, Dimapur, Imphal, and Agartala.
In between IPL matches, Guwahati witnessed a rise in flight bookings. In terms of top destinations in India, Delhi remains the most booked, while Bangkok leads internationally. Gen Z travellers prefer Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad within India. For international trips, their top choices include Bali, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, and Singapore.
New travel corridors are also in demand. Domestic airports like Navi Mumbai, Darbhanga, Leh, Gorakhpur, and Kannur are seeing higher interest. Internationally, routes to Nairobi, Frankfurt, Guangzhou, Riyadh, Lisbon, Milan, and Haneda are growing.
