The epic of Ramayana is not new to us. In fact, we have all heard about Lord Ram and Devi Sita, and their journey through the stories told by our grandmothers. But listening to the stories isn’t enough if you haven’t seen the places with your eyes. To take you on an enchanting journey and give you a tour of the places mentioned in the epic, IRCTC is starting a Ramayana Yatra via the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist train! Bharat Gaurav’s Ramayana Yatra Is Epic!

Indian Railways does its best to offer wonderful travel experiences through various tours. And one such trip is the Ramayana Yatra — inspired by the Hindu epic that we all have heard. The journey starts on April 7th and goes on for 18 days, covering the prominent places that are mentioned in Ramayana and hold importance in the life of Lord Ram. The journey will start from Delhi and cover these places — Ayodhya, Nandigram, Janakpur, Sitamarhi, Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi, Rameshwaram, Bhadrachalam and Nagpur.

In Ayodhya, you will get to visit various temples dedicated to Lord Ram and witness the Saryu Aarti. While in Sitamarhi, you will be visiting the Janaki Mandir, Sita-Ram Vivah Mandap and Gangasagar Lake. Buxar is known for the Rameshwar Nath temple and Ramrekha ghat — the next stop of the journey. The itinerary also includes visiting Kashi Vishwanath temple and corridor, Tulsi Mandir, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir, Sita Samahit Sthal, Sangam Prayag, Sati Anusuya Ashram, Gupt Godavari, Ram Ghat, Panchavati, Trimbakeshwar temple, Anjanadri Hill, Virupaksha Temple, Vitthal Temple, Ramtek Fort and Temple and the famous Ramanathswamy temple.

Other Details Of The Journey

Like every other tour package planned by the Indian Railways, this one also includes the fare of the Bharat Gaurav train. In addition to it, you will get onboard train meals and offboard meals, but only vegetarian. Meals are preset and anything other than the set menu will not be included in the package. And you will be given an AC bus for sightseeing. Travel insurance, security on the train and tour managers are included in the package.
