Italy is gradually phasing out COVID-19 restrictions. Being one of the worst affected European countries, it is taking slow steps to relax pandemic-related measures. As per the reports, travellers will no longer require the digital Green Pass to access public transportation or restaurants from May 1. As of now, the pass is issued to people who have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19.
Italy Had Removed Entry Restrictions For Indian Travellers
Italy had removed entry restrictions on travellers from India, Bangladesh, Brazil, and Sri Lanka who will visit the nation for essential purposes. This means, those who are travelling to Italy for work, health, education and other essential reasons from India and the other three countries won’t be subjected to special restrictions. These travellers no more need to provide authorisation from the Ministry of Health to be allowed entry to Italy.

Travellers Need To Follow Certain COVID-19 Protocols
The travellers will need to follow certain COVID-19 protocols. Passengers travelling to Italy after transiting through one of the four countries during the last 14 days need to present a negative COVID-19 test not older than 72 hours before entry. They need to fill in a digital Passenger Locator Form and notify the health authorities on their arrival.

Italy Mandates Health Pass For Unvaccinated Tourists Visiting The Nation From Abroad
Italy has imposed restrictions on all unvaccinated tourists visiting the nation from abroad. As per the National Tourism Agency of Italy, everyone above the age of 12 must produce a health pass to be permitted for certain activities and services. The Italian health pass is issued for people who have at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine or who have recently recovered from the virus.
