It’s no secret that Turkish Airlines is known for its fantastic flying experience and for making travel comfortable for its flyers. But did you know that it flies to several destinations? Well, that’s not it, the airline has now set the record for travelling to the most destinations. Yes, here’s all you need to know about the airline’s massive achievement in the Guinness World Records.

Turkish Airlines Sets Guinness World Record

Turkish Airlines is Turkey’s national carrier. And now, they have managed to set the Guinness World Record for flying to the most destinations by an airline. Yes, as of December 19, 2024, the airline had operations in a total of 131 countries. And upon verification, it was revealed that the airline was flying to 120 countries thereby earning the Guinness World Record title.

As revealed above, Turkish Airlines is now officially recognised as ‘the most countries flown to buy an airline’ in the Guinness World Records. Taking to their X account, it was revealed by the airline that it was given the certificate by their CEO Bilal EKŞİ at the Santiago Arturo Marino Benítez International Airport. This happened during their inaugural flight to Chile.

As it happens, the development comes when it was recently revealed that the airline is now commencing operations in Santiago. For the unversed, this is a city in Chile. Bringing warm Turkish hospitality to the country in South America, the tickets are already up for booking on their website. In fact, the airline is also constantly trying to improve. And even make travelling smoother for everybody even their little guests. Yes, for babies they gift a special travelling kit, which includes a bib, wet wipes, and changing mats along with a handy booklet that has some exciting travel tips for parents.
