Travel between Delhi and Jaipur is all set to get faster with a new railway route. A new 191-kilometre train route via Neemrana will reduce travel time by around 1.5 hours. The railway line is also expected to directly connect several major industrial areas in Haryana and Rajasthan. Here’s everything we know about this proposed plan.
New Delhi-Jaipur Train Route Coming Soon
According to NDTV, the 191-kilometre railway line between Delhi-Rewari and Jaipur has finally gained momentum, and the plan is now moving ahead smoothly. The Railway Board has also approved the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and final location survey for this route. This Delhi-Jaipur train route is expected to directly connect several major industrial areas in Haryana and Rajasthan that are currently not linked to the rail network.
You should know that this new railway corridor is being developed as an alternative route for travelling between Delhi and Jaipur. The existing route via Alwar and Bandikui witnesses heavy traffic, which leads to delays and inconvenience. This new route via Neemrana and Kotputli could be faster and may also reduce travel time between the two cities by around 1 to 1.5 hours.

How Will The New Route Help?
The new railway route is also expected to improve connectivity for passengers travelling between Haryana and Rajasthan. According to NDTV, Neemrana is part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and has several industrial units. This new railway route will also provide a faster way to transport raw materials to companies in Neemrana and the large cement industry in Kotputli. It could directly reduce the high costs of truck transportation.
The route may also become quite beneficial for passengers travelling to Gujarat and Maharashtra, whether for education, business or leisure. Reportedly, Rajdhani and Tejas trains will run on this route. However, the final train services and operating arrangements will depend on decisions taken after the project planning process.
