Kashmir has always been one of India’s most picturesque shooting destinations for Indian filmmakers. Be it the 80s, 90s, or now, Kashmir has always been a mesmerising filming location and Karan Johar planned to shoot a song for his upcoming release, Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani here. The crew jetted off to this breathtaking part of India some days back to film the song!
Karan Johar Signs Off In A Bollywood Style!
We grew up watching KJo’s movies where the actors simply walk and run around scenic surroundings with melodious and romantic songs playing in the background. And only Karan can do that in REAL LIFE! Taking on social media, he shared a video from Kashmir while shooting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He announced the Kashmir schedule wrap bidding farewell to beautiful Kashmir. As shown in the video, the background simply looks out of the world. Karan Johar chose the perfect song Yeh Haseen Vadiyan to describe the enigmatic beauty of the snow-clad vaadiyan of Kashmir. We can only imagine how mesemerising the music video will look starring Alia and Ranveer.
Kashmir Was Not The First Choice For Shooting The Song
Switzerland was the first destination decided to film the music video. According to reports, Karan Johar later changed the location and chose Gulmarg and its spectacular snow-clad surroundings for the song. The team was in Kashmir for a 10-day shooting schedule. It seems like KJo could not contain the excitement of clicking lots of pictures and videos of Gulmarg and admiring its beauty. He also shared a series of photos from here a couple of days back. Alia shared a beautiful selfie on Instagram from the sets of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani to wish Happy Holi to her fans and followers.
Many fans spotted the lead actors; Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in Gulmarg and took to various social media platforms to share BTS of the music video.
It seems like this Holi was the perfect blend of lush greenery and snow-clad hills for the crew and team of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on 28 July 2023.
