Jab We Met is one of the most popular and loved movies in the Hindi film industry and the fanbase keeps growing even now after almost 15 years of release. Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan played the role of a bubbly and cheerful girl named Geet from Bathinda, Punjab. Shahid Kapoor was the lead actor in the movie and played the role of Aditya Kashyap. The movie shows how Kareena and Shahid met on the train and carried the movie forward.

Kareena Kapoor Promoted Her Movie On A Comedy Show

Both Kareena and Shahid made a remarkable mark in the Imtiaz Ali directorial with their performances and audiences still appreciate the movie and their on-screen chemistry. The Bollywood actress recently made a joke on the floors of the court of comedy ‘Case Toh Banta Hai’ on Amazon Prime Mini TV that led to a lot of trolls and reactions. She appeared on Case Toh Banta Hai to promote her recent release, Laal Singh Chaddha. Kareena claimed that Geet improved the Indian Railways revenue. She said how the cheerful character of Geet benefitted the revenues of Indian Railways by generating more profits.

She Claimed That She Improved Indian Railways Revenue And Sales Of Harem Pants

In the same context, she also joked about how she increased the demand for harem pants as Geet was seen sporting colourful harem pants in various parts of Jab We Met. Kareena wore these comfortable pants mostly in the scenes inside the train and on the railway stations.

Kareena said on Case Toh Banta Hai, ‘Mere Geet play karne ke baad harem pants ki sale aur Indian Railways ki revenue, dono badh gayi hai by the way’ (Both the sales of harem pants and Indian Railways revenue have increased after I played the role of Geet by the way!)

Her comment on the comedy TV series has now resulted in trolling and negative reactions on social media. It seems like netizens did not really agree with her comments on the show, especially about the profits from Indian railways. Twitter users are writing and trolling her for the comment.
