There Is An Additional Safety Gate On This Route:

In the first metro route of Kolkata, there is no such concept of any safety gates. There is only one gate and it is the gate of the metro compartment. But on this new establishment, there will be additional safety with 2 gates. Like earlier, one gate is of the metro compartments and the other is the platform gate this time. As the ride will enter the station, both the gates will open so that the commuters can enter and get down conveniently.

Commuters travelling on this route are very with this project. As the rides are fully air-conditioned, have a lot of space, are fast, are a modern way of transportation, and most importantly affordable, people are very happy with this.

This route is accessible to the public since 14 July 2022. Still, there is more work pending for this whole infrastructure. After the entire project of this East-West corridor comes to an end, Sealdah is going to be the 7th station in this route. According to the plan, the extension of the route to Howrah will be over by the year 2023. This connection between Howrah and Salt Lake Sector V will make transportation easier and will help the commuters in saving more time than now.
