Besides, there are about 18 electronic charging stations in the Manali-Leh Ladakh route, you will stumble across 18 EV charging stations. Out of the 18 charging stations, 15 are set up at 10,000 feet – 14000 feet above sea level. The highest motorable passes in the world have the highest charging stations.
Switching To EVs Will Help Reduce Vehicular Pollution In Ladakh
The electronic stations in the world’s highest motorable pass are set up by Shuchi Anant Virya encouraging travellers to switch to sustainable energy. With the boom of travellers in Ladakh, air pollution caused by fossil fuels has significantly increased, which causes a lot of damage to the environment. Switching to the electric vehicle can help reduce pollution levels. The charging stations in Ladakh cater to two, three, and four-wheelers vehicles.

Their goal is to convert at least 50% of the vehicular traffic to EVs in the next 4 years. This transition will significantly reduce tailpipe emissions in the region. Passengers can charge their vehicle overnight in the electric vehicle charging stations set up at these key locations where:

About 50 locations have been set up across 10 cities in India including Pune, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, and Kolkata. They have power bank charging stations to reduce their carbon footprint.
