Learn Korean Or Japanese For 10 Days And Stand A Chance To Go On A Trip To South Korea Or Japan

Travelling is a transformative experience that allows individuals to immerse themselves in diverse cultures, traditions, and histories. Korea and Japan, two East Asian countries with rich cultural tapestries, beckon travellers seeking a blend of ancient traditions and modern marvels. Due to the growing interest of India’s Gen Z and Millennials in visiting Japan and South Korea as well as their increased desire to learn the languages, Airbnb and Duolingo are launching a special campaign.

With India’s GenZs and Millennials showing increased interest in travel to Japan and South Korea, as well as an increased desire to learn Japanese and Korean, Airbnb and Duolingo are launching a one-of-a-kind campaign that will provide travellers with an extraordinary opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of these two distinct countries.

The programme seeks to break down the language barrier that often prevents travellers from experiencing deeper cultural immersion and to provide travellers with vital language skills to improve their enjoyment and knowledge of local customs and traditions.

The surge in language learning on Duolingo coincides with an increase in searches for local stays on Airbnb, indicating a desire by Indians to break down language barriers and engage in more meaningful connections with local communities while visiting Japan or South Korea.

According to recent Airbnb data, there has been a considerable increase in travel interest to Japan and South Korea. We’ve observed a nearly 75 per cent rise in searches for Airbnb stays in Korea and a nearly 300 per cent increase in searches for stays in Japan.

The increase in Duolingo language learning correlates with an increase in Airbnb searches for local stays, showing a desire by Indians to break down language barriers and engage in more meaningful connections with local communities while visiting Japan or South Korea.

Building on these trends, Airbnb and Duolingo are collaborating to revolutionise travel experiences to Japan and South Korea by addressing the language barrier, which frequently prevents greater cultural immersion. This collaboration aims to provide travellers with basic language skills to improve their awareness and enjoyment of local cultures and traditions.

This venture offers a more enriched and authentic travel experience by combining Duolingo’s language learning skills with Airbnb’s locally hosted stays. Travellers may now traverse these areas with renewed confidence in their language skills while staying at local Airbnb rentals that allow them to live like a local.

This contest allows you to discover Japan and South Korea authentically by learning the local language on Duolingo before you go and staying in locally hosted Airbnbs in each country:
