As the year comes to an end, it calls for a vacation to the mountains to celebrate the stunning winter season. Lahaul and Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh witnessed fresh snowfall ahead of winter. With this comes a dip in temperature and an inevitable boost in tourism. Folks in Spiti Valley took to micro-blogging site X to share beautiful pictures of the region’s fresh snowfall.

Fresh Snowfall In Spiti Valley To Boost Tourism In Region

According to Hindustan Times, Met officials revealed that Lahaul, Spiti Valley and Kullu regions were shrouded in white as they received fresh snowfall. The snowcapped hills had a silver halo as temperatures dropped and residents got ready to welcome winter. People in the hospitality and tourism industry in Himachal Pradesh are anticipating a boost in tourism post-snowfall.

Both Indian and international tourists are looking forward to roaming the snowclad streets of the region, trying winter sports and clicking the most Insta-worthy pictures. Let it snow! Furthermore, horticulturists see the fresh snowfall as a positive sign as it can lead to a good season for local flora.

Folks In The Region Share Breathtaking Pics & Videos

Meanwhile, tourists and locals in Spiti Valley have taken to X to welcome the fresh snowfall. @shriwithaH shared a gorgeous picture from the valley during sunrise. The little houses atop the mountain seem ready to be clad in fresh snow.

@RiCkY_847 shared a short video where you can spot the higher reaches of Lahual and Spiti Valley bathed in white. 

@shubhamtorres09, a popular Weatherman on X, posted a gorgeous video of mountains and even cars parked on the foothills bathed in white, overnight. Covered in the fresh snow of the season, it poses as the perfect spot to go on a snowball fight.

@khagta’s video gives you a glimpse of the autumn snowfall in Kaza. The snow-capped mountain peaks, the icy brooks, the trees with golden leaves, bubbling brooks look no less than a postcard. There’s a sense of purity in the air in Spiti Valley.
