A document called, an emergency outpass was recently launched to help you in such incidents.

Apply For An Emergency Certificate With The Help Of the Indian Embassy

You can apply for an Emergency Certificate, often known as a “outpass,” with the aid of the Indian Embassy. This case applies if you are an Indian Expat based in the UAE or an Indian tourist that needs to fly back to India but lost your passport.

Government recently informed Indians living in the UAE about the Emergency Certificate service. The Indian Embassy in the UAE announced this on its official Twitter account on Tuesday, July 5.
Here is everything you need to know about filing for an Emergency Passport. Apply for it when you don’t own one because you either lost it or expired.

Detailed Guide About Outpass

Through the Passport Seva programme of the Indian Embassy, you can request an Emergency Certificate. After completing the form online, you must print it off and bring a copy of your original passport to the BLS Centre. It’s an outsourcing centre that issues Indian passport and visa applications.

The centre will issue the Emergency Certificate upon verification, by the authorities

  1. Passport Copy or Details Regarding The Same
  2. If neither is available then present an identity document verifying that you are Indian by the government officials. (Voter’s ID, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Birth Certificate)
  3. Application Form

It will cost around Dhs60 to issue this emergency certificate in UAE.
