For all movie lovers, the rom-com era is officially back. People are already loving the new Netflix film People We Meet On Vacation. While fans enjoyed the chemistry between Poppy and Alex, what truly caught the attention of travellers was the stunning locations featured in the movie. Here are the real-life places where the film was shot.
People We Meet On Vacation Shooting Locations In New Orleans, USA

Several scenes were filmed in New Orleans, USA, with the French Quarter taking centre stage. According to People, Poppy and Alex’s night out was shot on Bourbon Street, surrounded by real crowds. The team could not shut the street due to budget limits, so filming took place amid actual revellers.
For another scene, the crew closed off nearby Royal Street. Tourists and photographers quickly noticed the shoot. Instead of worrying about leaks, director Brett Haley welcomed the attention and enjoyed the excitement around the set.
The characters also visit the Frenchman Street Art Bazaar and Pepper Palace, a popular hot sauce store. A breakfast scene was filmed at Café du Monde, the famous beignet café near Jackson Square. The crew arrived early to reserve seats, while regular customers appeared in the background. To avoid sound issues, the team hired a street performer instead of using a real musician nearby.
A dance-off scene was filmed at Bamboula’s, a well-known live music venue and Cajun-Creole restaurant on Frenchmen Street. Another restaurant featured in the film was Domilise’s Po-boy & Bar. Interestingly, the cashier seen on screen is the real cashier from the restaurant.
Some scenes set in Linfield, Ohio, were actually filmed in New Orleans. The production used St. John’s and Audubon Park to portray a quiet Midwestern suburb. Poppy’s childhood home was filmed in Covington, located across Lake Pontchartrain.

Shooting Locations In Spain
Several key scenes were filmed on Spain’s Costa Brava. David’s wedding took place at Casa de Santa Clotilde, a 1933 clifftop villa near Lloret de Mar. As per People, the nearby Sa Boadella Beach served as the location for the recreated book cover scene. The beach sits just below the villa and was once a nude beach, making the shoot especially memorable. Author Emily Henry was present during filming.
The Masjoan Arboretum, located inland, was used to represent British Columbia. Its old redwood trees helped recreate the look of Canadian forests. In Barcelona, the team filmed a scene at the rooftop pool of the ME Barcelona Hotel. The bright city views created a strong contrast with Poppy’s dark and rainy New York apartment.
Another emotional moment was filmed at Can Llambi, a villa in Panedes. Though it appears as Tuscany in the film, the location is also part of the Costa Brava.
